# Engine Sounds vs Crane Rescue 3D

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Engine Sounds at 100% against Crane Rescue 3D's 6%. Engine Sounds also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Crane Rescue 3D's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crane Rescue 3D sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Engine Sounds asks for nothing beyond the download.

Crane Rescue 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crane Rescue 3D has 12K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Engine Sounds's written reviews are positive against 6% of Crane Rescue 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Engine Sounds ships an update every 12 months, Crane Rescue 3D every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
