# Jitney Surfer vs NexPass

The clearest difference is rating: NexPass at 4.4 against Jitney Surfer's 2.2. NexPass also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 64). Jitney Surfer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (33% vs 19%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NexPass holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NexPass has 1.8K ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Jitney Surfer's written reviews are positive against 19% of NexPass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jitney Surfer ships an update every 2 weeks, NexPass every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
