# miMind vs Math Derivatives

The clearest difference is update cadence: miMind at weekly against Math Derivatives's every 2 months. miMind also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (359 vs 15). Math Derivatives's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 84%) and iOS requirement (11.3 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. miMind sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Math Derivatives sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

miMind holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: miMind has 359 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of miMind's written reviews are positive against 100% of Math Derivatives's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

miMind ships an update weekly, Math Derivatives every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
