# WriteMapper 2 vs Lists

The clearest difference is rating: WriteMapper 2 at 4.7 against Lists's 2.5. WriteMapper 2 also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (12 vs 2). Lists's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 71%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WriteMapper 2 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Lists sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WriteMapper 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WriteMapper 2 has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of WriteMapper 2's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lists's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WriteMapper 2 ships an update monthly, Lists every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
