# Photo VKMap vs VKos

The clearest difference is rating: Photo VKMap at 5.0 against VKos's 2.7. Photo VKMap also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). VKos's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 45 months) and review sentiment (68% vs 50%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VKos sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Photo VKMap asks for nothing beyond the download.

Photo VKMap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VKos has 133 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Photo VKMap's written reviews are positive against 68% of VKos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Photo VKMap ships an update every 45 months, VKos every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
