# The Loop vs Gourmet Gamble

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The Loop at none against Gourmet Gamble's 6. The Loop also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.5). Gourmet Gamble's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gourmet Gamble sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. The Loop asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for The Loop against 5.0 for Gourmet Gamble. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Loop has 1.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The Loop ships an update every 2 months, Gourmet Gamble every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
