# DSLR Clapperboard vs Silver B&W Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Silver B&W Camera at 5.0 against DSLR Clapperboard's 3.4. DSLR Clapperboard's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DSLR Clapperboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Silver B&W Camera sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Silver B&W Camera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DSLR Clapperboard has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DSLR Clapperboard ships an update every 5 days, Silver B&W Camera every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
