# SmartPass Mobile vs Promethean

The clearest difference is update cadence: SmartPass Mobile at fortnightly against Promethean's every 4 months. SmartPass Mobile also leads on rating (2.9 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 60). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartPass Mobile holds the better App Store score, 2.9 against 2.5.
