# Max vs Watch V7

The clearest difference is rating: Watch V7 at 3.0 against Max's 2.5. Max's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 8%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Watch V7 holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Max has 302 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Max's written reviews are positive against 8% of Watch V7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Max ships an update every 5 weeks, Watch V7 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
