# Study Time Logger vs Focus & Fish

The clearest difference is ads: Study Time Logger at none against Focus & Fish's shown. Study Time Logger also leads on review sentiment (93% vs 62%) and ratings volume (118 vs 10). Focus & Fish's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study Time Logger sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Focus & Fish sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus & Fish holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Study Time Logger has 118 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Study Time Logger's written reviews are positive against 62% of Focus & Fish's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Study Time Logger ships an update fortnightly, Focus & Fish every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
