# Ridesum vs EQ Coach

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EQ Coach at 80% against Ridesum's 25%. EQ Coach also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.5) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Ridesum's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ridesum sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and EQ Coach sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EQ Coach holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ridesum has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 25% of Ridesum's written reviews are positive against 80% of EQ Coach's.

Ridesum ships an update every 10 days, EQ Coach every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
