# QuranHive vs AMAR

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: QuranHive at none against AMAR's 5. QuranHive also leads on ratings volume (541 vs 11) and review sentiment (94% vs 80%). AMAR's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 32 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AMAR sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. QuranHive asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for QuranHive against 5.0 for AMAR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuranHive has 541 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of QuranHive's written reviews are positive against 80% of AMAR's.

QuranHive ships an update every 32 months, AMAR every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
