# Flash Cards vs Anki Note

The clearest difference is rating: Flash Cards at 4.6 against Anki Note's 2.7. Flash Cards also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flash Cards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Anki Note sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flash Cards holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flash Cards has 1.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Flash Cards ships an update every 3 days, Anki Note every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
