# UpNote vs Supernotes

The clearest difference is update cadence: UpNote at weekly against Supernotes's monthly. UpNote also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 122). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UpNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Supernotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for UpNote against 4.8 for Supernotes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UpNote has 1.1K ratings behind it against 122, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of UpNote's written reviews are positive against 91% of Supernotes's.

UpNote ships an update weekly, Supernotes monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
