# UpNote vs Capacities

The clearest difference is rating: UpNote at 4.7 against Capacities's 4.3. UpNote also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 58%) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 114). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UpNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Capacities sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UpNote holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UpNote has 1.1K ratings behind it against 114, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of UpNote's written reviews are positive against 58% of Capacities's.

UpNote ships an update weekly, Capacities every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 13, 2026.
