# UpNote vs EXIF Frame

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EXIF Frame at none against UpNote's 5. EXIF Frame also leads on update cadence (daily vs weekly) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). UpNote's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UpNote sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. EXIF Frame asks for nothing beyond the download.

UpNote holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UpNote has 1.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of UpNote's written reviews are positive against 100% of EXIF Frame's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpNote ships an update weekly, EXIF Frame daily. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
