# UpNote vs Marky

The clearest difference is ads: UpNote at none against Marky's shown. UpNote also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Marky's advantage is update cadence (daily vs weekly). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UpNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Marky sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UpNote ships an update weekly, Marky daily. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
