# StoryMaker vs Serendipity

The clearest difference is rating: Serendipity at 5.0 against StoryMaker's 4.0. Serendipity also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). StoryMaker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StoryMaker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Serendipity sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Serendipity holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Serendipity has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
