# Files Protection vs File Manager

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Files Protection at 602 against File Manager's 7. File Manager's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Files Protection sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and File Manager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

File Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Files Protection has 602 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.
