# XTSpeed vs nRF Wi

The clearest difference is update cadence: nRF Wi at every 3 months against XTSpeed's every 25 months. XTSpeed's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

XTSpeed ships an update every 25 months, nRF Wi every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
