# Web PKI vs e

The clearest difference is rating: e at 3.0 against Web PKI's 1.0. e also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (49 vs 4). Web PKI's advantage is review sentiment (30% vs 8%) and iOS requirement (8.2 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

e holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: e has 49 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Web PKI's written reviews are positive against 8% of e's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Web PKI ships an update every 2 months, e every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
