# Foundation Training vs XPT Life®

The clearest difference is monetization model: XPT Life® at free with in-app purchases against Foundation Training's subscription. XPT Life® also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (896 vs 87). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Foundation Training sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $27.99 per month and XPT Life® sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

XPT Life® holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XPT Life® has 896 ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Foundation Training's written reviews are positive against 72% of XPT Life®'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
