# Score vs Learn Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: Learn Recorder at 4.5 against Score's 3.6. Learn Recorder also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (665 vs 5). Score's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Score sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Learn Recorder sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Learn Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Recorder has 665 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Score's written reviews are positive against 64% of Learn Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Score ships an update every 3 months, Learn Recorder weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
