# Loco vs TapTap

The clearest difference is ads: TapTap at none against Loco's shown. TapTap also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (10K vs 349). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Loco sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and TapTap sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TapTap holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TapTap has 10K ratings behind it against 349, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of Loco's written reviews are positive against 52% of TapTap's.

Loco ships an update fortnightly, TapTap every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
