# QuickVideo vs Discreet

The clearest difference is rating: Discreet at 4.4 against QuickVideo's 3.0. Discreet also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 2). QuickVideo's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (67% vs 56%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickVideo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year and Discreet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Discreet holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Discreet has 2.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of QuickVideo's written reviews are positive against 56% of Discreet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
