# ZigZag vs Penguin Slide

The clearest difference is ads: ZigZag at none against Penguin Slide's shown. ZigZag also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). Penguin Slide's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ZigZag ships an update monthly, Penguin Slide fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
