# UniFi Protect vs Tickitin

UniFi Protect and Tickitin both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Tickitin's written reviews are positive against 53% of UniFi Protect's. Tickitin also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). UniFi Protect's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (78K vs 9). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tickitin holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniFi Protect has 78K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of UniFi Protect's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tickitin's.
