# Grid Diary vs Baumy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Baumy at free with in-app purchases against Grid Diary's subscription. Baumy also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Grid Diary's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grid Diary sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Baumy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Grid Diary ships an update every 2 weeks, Baumy every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
