# RP3 Rowing Lite vs Row Nation

RP3 Rowing Lite and Row Nation both sit at 1.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Row Nation's written reviews are positive against 8% of RP3 Rowing Lite's. Row Nation also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). RP3 Rowing Lite's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Row Nation sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. RP3 Rowing Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

RP3 Rowing Lite holds the better App Store score, 1.7 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RP3 Rowing Lite has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of RP3 Rowing Lite's written reviews are positive against 75% of Row Nation's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RP3 Rowing Lite ships an update every 5 months, Row Nation every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
