# This Week vs SchoolMail

The clearest difference is monetization model: SchoolMail at free against This Week's free with in-app purchases. This Week's advantage is ratings volume (74 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SchoolMail holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: This Week has 74 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
