# ImageMate vs das Image Search and Explore

The clearest difference is ratings volume: das Image Search and Explore at 1.2K against ImageMate's 15. das Image Search and Explore also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). ImageMate's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ImageMate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months and das Image Search and Explore sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

das Image Search and Explore holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: das Image Search and Explore has 1.2K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of ImageMate's written reviews are positive against 91% of das Image Search and Explore's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ImageMate ships an update monthly, das Image Search and Explore every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
