# Instabot vs Loom

Instabot and Loom both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Instabot's written reviews are positive against 42% of Loom's. Instabot also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.5). Loom's advantage is ratings volume (19K vs 7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Instabot against 4.8 for Loom. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Loom has 19K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Instabot's written reviews are positive against 42% of Loom's.

Instabot ships an update every 5 weeks, Loom weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
