# LOG vs Security Home

The clearest difference is rating: LOG at 5.0 against Security Home's 4.3. LOG also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Security Home's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security Home sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. LOG asks for nothing beyond the download.

LOG holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Home has 11K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LOG ships an update every 3 weeks, Security Home every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
