# Magic Display vs Sky Rider Control

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sky Rider Control at every 4 days against Magic Display's every 5 weeks. Sky Rider Control also leads on rating (3.1 vs 2.8) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 10.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sky Rider Control holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 169 and 131 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Magic Display's written reviews are positive against 29% of Sky Rider Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Display ships an update every 5 weeks, Sky Rider Control every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
