# Detective Strange vs 七院档案

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 七院档案 at none against Detective Strange's 6. 七院档案 also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). Detective Strange's advantage is ratings volume (39 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Detective Strange sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. 七院档案 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Detective Strange holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Detective Strange has 39 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Detective Strange's written reviews are positive against 52% of 七院档案's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Detective Strange ships an update every 8 months, 七院档案 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
