# Voi vs Forest

The clearest difference is monetization model: Forest at free against Voi's free with in-app purchases. Forest also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). Voi's advantage is review sentiment (34% vs 11%) and ratings volume (9.8K vs 834). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Voi holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Voi has 9.8K ratings behind it against 834, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 34% of Voi's written reviews are positive against 11% of Forest's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
