# Morels vs Capital Lux 2

The clearest difference is rating: Morels at 4.9 against Capital Lux 2's 4.0. Morels also leads on ratings volume (491 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Capital Lux 2's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and price ($1.99 vs $4.99). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Morels costs $4.99 and Capital Lux 2 $1.99 up front. Morels sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Capital Lux 2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Morels holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morels has 491 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Morels's written reviews are positive against 100% of Capital Lux 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Morels ships an update fortnightly, Capital Lux 2 every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
