# eScrivaLite vs DEMAC

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DEMAC at none against eScrivaLite's 1. eScrivaLite's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eScrivaLite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. DEMAC asks for nothing beyond the download.

eScrivaLite ships an update every 2 months, DEMAC every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
