# LinkCN vs Initap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Initap at 80% against LinkCN's 33%. Initap also leads on ads (none vs shown). LinkCN's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and rating (4.5 vs 4.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LinkCN sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and Initap sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LinkCN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LinkCN has 740 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of LinkCN's written reviews are positive against 80% of Initap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LinkCN ships an update every 6 weeks, Initap every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
