# RYDE vs Avas Ride

The clearest difference is ads: RYDE at none against Avas Ride's shown. RYDE also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Avas Ride's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 45%) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RYDE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avas Ride has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of RYDE's written reviews are positive against 75% of Avas Ride's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RYDE ships an update every 2 weeks, Avas Ride every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
