# Space Launch Now vs Olean Times Herald eEdition

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Olean Times Herald eEdition at none against Space Launch Now's 19. Olean Times Herald eEdition also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 58%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Space Launch Now's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (32K vs 29). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space Launch Now sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Olean Times Herald eEdition asks for nothing beyond the download.

Space Launch Now holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Space Launch Now has 32K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Space Launch Now's written reviews are positive against 67% of Olean Times Herald eEdition's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Space Launch Now ships an update monthly, Olean Times Herald eEdition every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
