# timer. vs TimeWave

The clearest difference is rating: TimeWave at 4.6 against timer.'s 4.3. TimeWave also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 63%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). timer.'s advantage is ratings volume (171 vs 25) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. timer. sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and TimeWave sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeWave holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: timer. has 171 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 63% of timer.'s written reviews are positive against 86% of TimeWave's.
