# Smart Word Cloud vs Magic App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Smart Word Cloud at 100% against Magic App's 5%. Smart Word Cloud also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 17) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Magic App's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic App sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Smart Word Cloud asks for nothing beyond the download.

Magic App holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic App has 305 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Smart Word Cloud's written reviews are positive against 5% of Magic App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smart Word Cloud ships an update every 9 months, Magic App monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
