# Coves vs Gika

The clearest difference is rating: Coves at 4.2 against Gika's 3.5. Coves also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 2). Gika's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coves sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Gika sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coves holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coves has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Coves ships an update every 3 weeks, Gika every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
