# Screen Recorder vs Super Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is monetization model: Super Screen Recorder at free with in-app purchases against Screen Recorder's subscription. Super Screen Recorder also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Screen Recorder's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Super Screen Recorder sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Super Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 956 and 2.5K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Screen Recorder's written reviews are positive against 49% of Super Screen Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Recorder ships an update monthly, Super Screen Recorder every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
