# Screen Recorder vs Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is monetization model: Screen Recorder at freemium against Screen Recorder's subscription. Screen Recorder also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (33K vs 954). Screen Recorder's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 30%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Screen Recorder sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder has 33K ratings behind it against 954, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Screen Recorder's written reviews are positive against 30% of Screen Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Recorder ships an update monthly, Screen Recorder every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
