# Screen Recorder vs Salo Dual Camera

The clearest difference is monetization model: Salo Dual Camera at free with in-app purchases against Screen Recorder's subscription. Salo Dual Camera also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Screen Recorder's advantage is ratings volume (957 vs 128) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Salo Dual Camera sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder has 957 ratings behind it against 128, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 57% and 58% positive.

Screen Recorder ships an update monthly, Salo Dual Camera weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
