# Самокат vs Буфeт

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Буфeт at 100% against Самокат's 23%. Буфeт also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Самокат's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 25 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Буфeт holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Самокат has 17K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of Самокат's written reviews are positive against 100% of Буфeт's.

Самокат ships an update weekly, Буфeт every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and July 5, 2026 respectively.
