# Самокат vs BUFFET

The clearest difference is rating: Самокат at 4.8 against BUFFET's 3.9. Самокат also leads on ratings volume (19K vs 9) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). BUFFET's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Самокат holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Самокат has 19K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Самокат's written reviews are positive against 25% of BUFFET's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Самокат ships an update weekly, BUFFET every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
