# Loyal vs The Local Rewards

The clearest difference is rating: The Local Rewards at 5.0 against Loyal's 3.3. The Local Rewards also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Loyal's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 31 months) and ratings volume (15 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Local Rewards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Loyal has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Loyal ships an update every 2 months, The Local Rewards every 31 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
